A Message From the Founder
I, John H. Sanders, established Houston Restoration Services in 1984 at the young age of twenty-two. Originating from a vice-presidential position at a local jewelry chain, my transition into roofing, though naive, was fueled by passion and a recommendation from a friend. The complexities of the roofing business, from installer issues to navigating regulations and supplier challenges, became a profound learning experience. However, these challenges were instrumental in shaping our ethos of using only the best installers, products, and methods. Notably, by the mid-nineties, HRS had grown into one of the largest installers of ELK products in Houston, achieving “Peak Performance” contractor status, a distinction maintained today with our proud partnership as a “MasterElite” contractor with GAF. Our credentials also include being a “Certified Installer” for Mule Hide Single Ply and Elastomeric commercial roofing products. Looking back over thirty-four years of continuous business, our accomplishments—from everyday replacements to managing emergency storm damage—are a testament to our dedication. It is with immense pride that I can assure you, Houston Restoration Services will continue to serve and protect our community for many years to come.
